Jan. 25, 1945 -- March 11, 1989
Roger Johnson, 44, of Route 1, Carthage, died Saturday, March 11, 1989, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Jan. 29, 1945, in Macomb, a son of Hugh Warren and Mary Johnson.
A Vietnam veteran, Johnson served in the U.S. Army. He was a 20-year employe of Bower Roller Bearing in Macomb and was a member of the Carthage V.F.W. Phillip Hartzell Post 5117.
He is survived by his mother and a sister, Beverly Wildrick, both of Carthage.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Services were held Tuesday at Lamporte Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. Franklin Woods officiating. Burial was in Oakgrove Cemetery, rural Carthage. Full military services were conducted at graveside by the V.F.W. Carthage post.
