Ralph Jenkins

Funeral services for Ralph A. Jenkins, 74, West Point, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the West Point United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald R. Tichenor officiating.  Burial was in Moss Ridge Cemetery in Carthage.

Mr. Jenkins was born Sept. 6, 1895, near Bentley, a son of Edward J. and Effie Coffman Jenkins.  He married Helen E. Gibson April 24, 1918, in Carthage.  He was a member of the West Point Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War I and was a retired farmer.  He attended Carthage College, Western Illinois State Teachers College, Macomb, and Northwestern University, DeKalb.

Surviving with his wife is one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Norma) Fink, Rt. 1, Basco; one son, Harry E. Jenkins, Rt. 1, West Point; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant son.
