Mrs. Corda Hutchins, 88, of Carthage, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 1970 at 2 p. m. in Memorial hospital, after a long decline in health.  She was the mother of Mrs. Irvin (Lottie) Martin of Bowen, formerly of Plymouth.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. in the Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton, the Rev. Robert Means officiating.  Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Hutchins was born in New Philadelphia, Nov. 28, 1881, a daughter of William B. and Docie Caley Crabtree.  She married Clarence Hutchins July 3, 1897.  He is deceased.

Surviving are a son, Clarence of Carthage; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Nima) Tieman of Montrose, Iowa, Mrs. Raymond (Pauline) Miller of Hamilton, Mrs. Alfred (Elevlyn) Clippert of Keokuk, Iowa, Mrs. Albert (Ruby) Simmons of Burnside and Mrs. Martin of Bowen; 19 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hutchins had many friends made by her loving kindnesses and considerations throughout her active years.
