Column 1Clarence "Bill" Hutchins
CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Clarence E. "Bill" Hutchins, 75, of Carthage, a line superintendent for the Rural Electric Association for 30 years, died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 5, 1991) in Memorial Hospital.
Born April 23, 1916, in New Philadelphia, he was a son of Clarence E. and Corda Crabtree Hutchins Sr. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 5117. He was of the Christian faith.
On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Nina E. Weeks in Stockton. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Windler of Hawaii, and Carol and Sharon Martin, both of Keokuk, Iowa; two sons, Billy and Charles, both of El Paso, Texas; a sister, Lottie Martin of Bowen; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lamporte Funeral Home by the Rev. Keith Cardwell. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton with military rites by VFW Post 5117.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. today with family meeting friends after 7 p.m.
