Ernest Huls

Funeral services for Ernest Libbie Huls, 53, Basco, were held Tuesday afternoon in Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Carthage with the Rev. Rodney R. Hutton officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Visitation was held in the Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton.  A memorial has been established in his name.

Mr. Huls died Saturday evening, May 20, 1978, in Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

He was born May 21, 1924, near Basco, a son of Libbie and Christian Loeschen Huls.  He married Madelle Launer May 27, 1943, in Immanuel Lutheran Church of which he was a member.  He was a farmer.

Surviving with his wife is his mother, Mrs. Christina Huls of Basco; a daughter, Mrs. John (Bonnie) LaFeber of Hamilton; two sons, Gary of Basco and Jim of Stronghurst; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob Huls of Carthage and Albert Huls of Basco; and a sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Arlene) Fecht of Carthage.  He was preceded in death by his father.
