Albert Huls, 88, of Basco, died at Memorial Hospital in Carthage of natural causes.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Printy Funeral Home in Carthage.

Albert Heinrich Huls, 88, of Basco, died Monday June 21, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage of natural causes.
He was born on March 20, 1916, the son of Libbie and Christina Loeschen Huls. On Dec. 1, 1937, he married Irene Loring in West Ely, Mo.
He is survived by his wife of Basco; four children, Clifford (Sharon) Huls of Bentley, Vernon (Anastasia) Huls of Wilmette, Lorna Plowman of Columbia, Mo., and Dennis (Martha) Huls of Carthage; one sister, Arlene Fecht of Carthage; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, in infancy, Lois Marie; and two brothers, Jacob and Ernest.
He was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Basco where he served as a deacon. He was a trustee for Bear Creek Township for 30 years and a charter member of the Bentley Saddle Club. His love of horses will be carried on through his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 24, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Scoville officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
