TWO MONTHS
OLD INFANT
DIES SUNDAY

Floyd Mearl, two months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. Howard of 1408 Ash street, was found dead in his bed early Sunday morning.  The infant had been ill with the croup.  Deputy County Coroner H. A. Brunat said no inquest would be held.

Born in Keokuk on October 16, 1938, he was the only son of Floyd M. and Helen Bryant Howard.

Surviving besides the parents are a sister, Mary Helen; a grandfather, William Howard of Montrose and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo V. Bryant of Keokuk.

Funeral services were held from the Pearson and Schmidt Funeral Home at 2 o'clock this afternoon with the Rev. J. L. Pickett officiating.  Burial was made in the Hickory Grove cemetery.
