Column 5DEATH OF ERNEST E. HOPKINS
Ernest E. Hopkins, the son of Eden and Emeline Hopkins was born in this county fifty-six years ago and has always lived here.
In 1887, he was married to Minerva Adeline Kimbrough, to which union three children were born, Ceci1 R., of McIntyre, Ia.; Claude E., who died in infancy and Leslie E., at home. He is survived by the wife, two sons, and two brothers, Edgar C., of East Carthage, and Isaac E., of Trenton, Mo., and a half sister, Mrs. Daisy Agnu of Quincy.
He was an earnest member of the Primitive Baptist church.
The funeral services were held at the grave at Holland cemetery, conducted by Elder Arthur Jones of that church Sunday.
Mr. Hopkins was a good man and a successful farmer. He has been in ill health a long time, but was a patient sufferer. The many friends of the family sympathize with them in their bereavement.
