Rites for Carthage
Woman Held Last
Friday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse Hoover, 56, of near Carthage were held Friday afternoon in the Fecht funeral home in Carthage, with Rev. Robert J. Bulkley officiating.  Burial was in McKay cemeteryMrs. Kenneth Cutler was in charge of the music.  Pallbearers were: Rufus Welch, William Swain, Earl Swain, Deak Freeman, Jesse Brooks and Dean Brooks.

Mrs. Hoover died Tuesday morning in Memorial hospital, Carthage.  She was a daughter of William C. and Maude Goldsberry Lovell, Mrs. Hoover was born Sept. 6, 1899, at Gladstone.

She is survived by her widower; a son, Charles of Carthage; six daughters, Mrs. Alvin Wall of Kirkwood, Mrs. John Thompson and Mrs. Harold Lambert of Macomb, Mrs. Tressler Hasten of Carthage, Mrs. Arthur Aikens of Monmouth and Mrs. Alfred Louder of Elroy, Ariz.; a stepson, Leonard Hoover of Peoria; two brothers, Lloyd and Allen Lovell of Ferris; two sisters, Mrs. Everett Climer and Mrs. Dexter Murphy of Carthage, and 23 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, six grandchildren, a sister and a brother.
