STANLEY E. HOBB

Aug. 12, 1960 -- Oct. 17, 2005

Stanley Earl Hobb, 45, of Hamilton, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at his home in Hamilton.

He was born Aug. 12, 1960, in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of James Henry and Rosalie Myrtle Hobb.

He is survived by his mother, Rosalie Hobb of Hamilton; 10 sisters, Gladys Shoemaker of Monahans, Texas, Nancy (Bill) Mann of Monahans, Shirley Hobb (Doug Hesseltine) of Carthage, Adalee (Mike) Johnson of Blandinsville, Doris (Chuck) Bagent of Carthage, Mary (Buddy) Bennett of Garland, Texas, Vera (John) Davis of Troy, Mich., Rosalie (Henry) Rakey of Keokuk, Karen (Roger) Bryant of Keokuk, and Alva Hobb of Warsaw; three brothers, Jerry Pierce of Monahans, Jimmy (Sherlene) Hobb of Keokuk, and Louis (Happy) Hobb of Hamilton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; several aunts and uncles; and one niece.

He attended school in Warsaw.  He worked at Metzler in Keokuk for 27 years.  He enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his family.  He had a heart as big as gold.

Services will be held Friday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. at Lamporte Funeral Home of Hamilton with Rev. Terry Lovell officiating.  Burial is in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.  Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, after 3 p.m. at Lamporte Funeral Home of Hamilton with family meeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

A memorial has been established in memory of Stanley Earl Hobb.
