CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Harmon T. Harter, 92, 120 S. Washington, died at 8:40 p.m. at Carthage Memorial hospital. Born in Denver, Ill. on April 5, 1877, he was the son of Joseph Valentine and Barbara Ann Nichols Lawless Harter.
He married Mary Hough, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Denver Blue Lodge of Masons, the consistory of Quincy and the Denver Christian church.
Surviving is a son Leon Harter of Dayton, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Denver Christian church with burial in the Harmony township cemetery.
