Funeral services for Clifton N. Hardy, 79, Carthage, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Neiser Funeral Home in Carthage with Elder Orvel B. Prior officiating. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery.
Mr. Hardy died Thursday morning, June 3, 1971, in the Colchester Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 7, 1891, near Bentley, a son of Clement and Della Jones Hardy. He lived most of his life in California, returning to Carthage two years ago. He was a retired employee of the Santa Fe Railroad.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Louis Scheuermann of Carthage, Mrs. Albert Scheuermann of Webster and Mrs. Baird White of Bentley; and one brother, Bryan Hardy of Carthage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Minte Ward and Goldie Brown; and one brother, Clarence Hardy.
