Funeral services for Perry A. (Peck) Harbur, 88, former Carthage resident, were held Tuesday, March 30, in the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, Mo. Pallbearers were Lawrence Hackett, Ed Denison, William Hayes, John Fecht, John Jacoby, and Derin Campbell, all of Carthage. Burial was in the Memphis cemetery.
Mr. Harbur died Saturday, March 27, in Denver, Colo.
Born in Scotland county, Mo. March 12, 1877, he was a son of G. Marion and Martha E. Harbur. He was married to Rose M. Flick, Nov. 1, 1902.
He came to Carthage in 1914, and during much of his life was in the car business. He worked for the Beal Motor Co. in Carthage until 1941, at which time he moved to Bowen.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Goldie Campbell and Mrs. Dixie Lee Wright, both of Denver, Colo. and Mrs. Edna Machesney of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; a son, Glenn also of Denver; a sister, Mrs. Ada Bell of Ottumwa; Iowa; two brothers, Ellis of Memphis and William of Revere, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Tom; two sisters, and six brothers.
