Forrest "Woody" Grove, 62, of Basco, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
He was born Dec. 3, 1939, in Macomb, a son of Benjamin and Anna Neill Grove. On Aug. 23, 1960 in Carthage, he married Mary Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Basco; two daughters, Carole Belknap Grove of Basco, and Dawn Grove of Warsaw; one son, Darryl Dean Grove of Haslit, Texas; one sister, Betty Clark of Winter Haven, Fla.; one brother, John (Geraldine) Neill of Stillwell; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a 1958 graduate of Warsaw High School. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Carthage. He enjoyed bulldozing and spending time with his friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Carthage, with Rev. Dennis Scoville officiating. Burial followed in the South Cemetery at Basco.
Memorials have been established for Immanuel Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
