Column 3FEB. 10 -- The venerable David Grove died at 2 o'clock yesterday morning, caused by injuries received by a fall early in the winter, and by ailments incident to old age. Mr. Grove was born in Page Co., Va., Oct. 31, 1811, and came to Ohio ca 1835, where he married and came to Illinois in 1836 and settled on the farm where he died. Mr. Grove was the father of ten children, seven of whom survive him; all long since grown to men and womens estate, and are respected members of society. The deceased was a man of excellent judgment, plain and unassuming in his manners and inclinations, and nobly performed all the duties that a good and true man owes as a member of society, a christian and father. He had been for many years a worthy member of the Baptist church. Burial at the Grove cemetery this afternoon, Rev. Mr. Dobbs preaching the funeral discourse.
