Page 1DEATH OF JOHN GRONEWOLD
John Gronewold, son of Henry K. and Hilka Gronewold was born near Basco, July 30, 1873, and passed away at, 12:40, Feb. 6th, at St. Joseph's hospital after an illness lasting about twelve days.
He was baptized in Golden by Rev. Kleinlein on Aug. 17, 1873. On March 30, 1890 he was confirmed by Rev. Mr. Geissler, and on Feb. 26, 1902, he was united in marriage to Reda Fecht. This union was blessed with four children two dying in infancy. His parents and six brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
He was always an active worker and had always lived on the same farm, where he was born. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, and attended church regularly.
Surviving him are his wife, two children, Henry and George, one grandchild, Laurene Ester; one brother, Ehme of Flanagan, Ill., one sister, Mary Busboom of Glenvil, Nebr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
