Elza Glasgow, 86, of Pekin, Ill., formerly of Keokuk, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the Pekin Memorial Hospital, Pekin, Ill.
He was born Sept. 16, 1903, in Keokuk, the son of Fred and Stella Milligan Glasgow. He married Jeanett Witte on Dec. 24, 1936, in Stillwater, Minn. He was a lifelong resident of Keokuk until moving to Pekin in July of 1988. He had been employed as a plumber since 1916, past president and former member of the Eagles Club, past president of the Labor Temple and former member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife Jeanette of Pekin; daughter Mrs. Ron (Linda) Carle of Pekin; son Fritz Glasgow of E. Moline, Ill.; sister Mrs. Jim (Marge Fletcher) McCoy of Keokuk; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home with the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home and the family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m.
An Eagle Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Vigen Memorial Home.
