Charles E. Glasgow

April 18, 1934 -- April 22, 1992

SPRINGDALE, Ark. -- Charles E. "Jobbie" Glasgow, 58, of Springdale, Ark., formerly of Keokuk, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in Springdale Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 18, 1934, in Keokuk, to Ted and Mildred Betts Glasgow.

He married Wanda May Bryant on Aug. 29, 1952, in Keokuk.  She survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Debbie) McCarty of Keokuk and Mrs. Bill (Marla) Andrews of Springdale, Ark.; six sons, Mike Glasgow, Jeff Glasgow and Bill Glasgow, all of Springdale, Ark.; David Glasgow of Silvis, Ill., Chuck Glasgow of Rockford, Ill., and Rick Glasgow of Keokuk; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Marge) Hatfield of Charleston, Ill., and Mrs. Paul (Midge) Rader of Keokuk; a brother, Fred Glasgow of Columbus, Ind.; and his mother-in-law.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Mr. Glasgow was a longtime truck driver and an employee of the Springdale Street Department.  He attended Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale and had served in the U.S. Air Force.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at DeJong's Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Haun officiating.

Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
