On Monday evening of last week a seven-year old daughter of Cyrus Geddes, while playing about a fire where hedge brush was being burnt, had her clothes take fire and was so severely burnt that she died Friday night. The mother had her hands severely burnt in trying to tear the burning clothes from her darling child. Dr. Madison was called soon after the child was burnt, and done all he could, but of no avail. The parents have the sympathy of the whole community. No death seems so sad as of those who are burned.
