(1956-2000)Elaine Garrison, 44, of Memphis, MO, died Wednesday, October 11, 2000, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
She was born the daughter of George Garrison, Sr., and Elaine (Anders) Garrison on January 17, 1956 in Bloomfield, IA. Garri graduated from Scotland Co. R-1 High School in Memphis in 1974. For over six years she was a cook at Mom's Place in Memphis, an active volunteer with the Community Action Group and a member of the Greensburg Chapter #258 Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past District Deputy Grand Matron of the First District of Missouri. For several years, Garri was a Sunday School Teacher at the Memphis United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, reading, working with charitable organizations, and music.
Garri is survived by a brother, George Garrison, Jr., and wife Janis of Brooklyn Center, MN; her fiancé, Harold Snyder of Bible Grove, MO; two nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 15, 2000, at 3:30 p.m. in the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis. Phillip Gore will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2000, at Gerth Funeral Service in Memphis, with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Eastern Star services will be conducted the Greensburg O.E.S. Chapter #258 on Saturday, October 14, during the visitation. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and can be left at or mailed to Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S.
