Floyd Furrow, age 27, of LaHarpe took his own life by shooting himself with a shot gun. The body was found in a truck patch at his home Monday morning. He was unmarried and the son of Alonzo Furrow. He is survived by his father and several brothers and sisters. The inquest was held Monday by Dr. D. L. Frazee, the verdict of suicide being returned.

.Mrs. Keith Markey received the sad news Monday morning of the suicide of her brother, Floyd Furrow, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dwight Meyers in LaHarpe which occurred Sunday night. Floyd had spent a large part of his life in this vicinity and was known as a good-natured, industrious lad who was especially kind to the members of his immediate family. He was buried at McKay cemetery here Wednesday following funeral services at LaHarpe.
