Deacon S. G. Frazee was born in Hancock Co., Illinois, February 8th, 1842; passed away after months of suffering at the Marietta Phelps hospital at Macomb, Ill., July 21, 1915, at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 13 days.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Kurry, Sept. 10, 1860, who preceded him to the better world 28 years ago, and to this union was born four children, namely: Mary F. Wintermeyer of Plymouth, Ill., Emma J. Clary of Choshocton, Ohio, Sarah E. Kendall who passed away about 19 years ago, and D. L. Frazee of Denver, Ill.
He received a good hope in Christ many years ago and united with the Old School Baptist church at Providence about 25 years ago.
After the death of his wife and his family had left him, he became lonesome and was united in marriage to Isabelle Irwin about 24 years ago and together they traveled harmonious the remainder of his earth life, but to him the inevitable came and he meekly bowed to the mandates of Heaven's King and entered into rest, leaving his aged wife, two daughters and one son to mourn the loss of a faithful and true husband and a loving and dutiful father. He also leaves six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord for they shall rest from their labors and their works do follow them."
The Scribe joins in heartfelt sympathy.
