George W. Flick, 73, Memphis died at 6:30 a.m., December 11, 1971, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital. He was taken to the hospital following a heart attack.
The son of Ezra and Mintie McEldowney Flick, he was born in Oklahoma territory March 9, 1898. He married Iva Eastman in Boulder, Colo. She survives.
Mr. Flick moved to Scotland County in 1956, first living on a farm northeast of town. The family later moved to their present farm northwest of town.
He is also survived by one brother, Charles, Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Brookhart, Boulder, Colo.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 13, at 2:00 p.m. from Gerth and Basket Chapel, Memphis. The Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. Interment was in the Mount Moriah cemetery. Body bearers were George Camp, Lawrence Smith, George Bill Camp, Leo Brown, Otho Harbur, and Wm. Steele.
