Column 1Miss Edith Edgecomb, daughter of James Edgecomb, was married to Lawrence Ellefritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Ellefritz Saturday afternoon by Justice George Dorsey at his office. The young people have gone onto a farm near Burnside.

Funeral services for Lawrence Vernon Ellefritz of Burnside were held Monday, July 2, at 2 p.m. in the Kilgore Memorial Home, the Rev. Kim Yong Soon, pastor of the Burnside Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Ralph Denison was the organist. Casket bearers were Bert Thompson, Clere Duffy, Duane Furrow, Spencer Cox, Sterling Bisby, and Lloyd Woodside. Burial was in McKay cemetery in Pilot Grove township.
Mr. Ellefritz died Friday, June 29, in Memorial hospital in Carthage. He had been in failing health for a year, and hospitalized for the past 19 days.
Born near Burnside Feb. 10, 1900, he was a son of Carlos and Lucy Mort Ellefritz. On Sept. 29, 1923 he was married in Carthage to Edith Edgecomb.
After his marriage he begun farming and continued in this work the rest of his life. He became associated with the late M. J. Barr and later with Miss Fannie Barr in the operation of their farm.
He was a member of the First Baptist church of Carthage.
Surviving with the widow are his mother of Carthage; five sons, Robert and Danny of Burnside, Vernon of Basco, and Gayle and Glen of Ferris; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth, Albert and LeRoy of Carthage; and one sister, Mrs. Irene Van Dyke of Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, William; two brothers, Paul and Gay; and four sisters, Marie, Faye, Mildred, and Elma.
