Sandra Sue Scott
And Glen Ellefritz
Marry in Carthage

Miss Sandra Sue Scott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Scott of Carthage, became the bride of Glen Ellefritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ellefritz of Burnside, in a ceremony Sunday, June 17, at 4 p.m. in the home of the bride's parents.  The Rev. Leland R. Beck, pastor of the Carthage Christian church, officiated.  The room was decorated with roses and baskets of mixed flowers.  Only parents and close relatives were present for the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Carle of Carthage, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, were attendants.

The bride wore a princess styled white satin street-length dress, white picture hat and other white accessories and a hip corsage of baby orchids. Mrs. Carle wore a white linen suit, pink accessories and a pink carnation corsage.

The bride's mother wore navy blue, navy accessories and a pink carnation corsage.  The bride-groom's mother was unable to attend the wedding.

A wedding supper was served buffet style to 55 guests in the Scott home later in the evening.

Mrs. Ellefritz was graduated from Carthage Community high school in 1954 and also was graduated from Burlington Beauty academy at Burlington.  Her husband was graduated from Colusa high school in 1952, is in the Army Reserves and is employed as a mechanic by Beal Motor Co. in Carthage.

GLEN "BILL" ELLEFRITZ

June 20, 1934 -- Feb. 4, 1999

Glen "Bill" Ellefritz, 64, of Ferris, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at his home in Ferris.  He was born June 20, 1934, in Burnside, the son of Lawrence and Edith Edgecomb Ellefritz.  On June 17, 1956, in Carthage, he married Sandra Scott.  She survives.

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Ron (Jana) Snodgrass of Ferris; one son, Joel (Tanna) Ellefritz of Ferris; six grandchildren, Travis, Dustin and Kaci Ellefritz and Kayla, Krystin and Ethan Snodgrass; and four brothers, Robert Ellefritz of Burnside; Vernon Ellefritz of Carthage; twin brother Gayle "Pete" Ellefritz of Nauvoo, and Danny Ellefritz of Ferris.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jackie.

He was employed by Hancock Service Company of Carthage for 34 years until his retirement in 1993.  He was an avid reader, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Lamporte Funeral Home of Carthage with Rev. Phil Nevius officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at the McKay Cemetery near Burnside.

A memorial has been established to the Hancock County Cancer Society.
