Funeral services for Mrs. Clara S. Ellefritz, 72, Carthage, were held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 10 in the Fecht Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. James A. Fox officiating. Burial was in the McKay Cemetery near Burnside.
Mrs. Ellefritz died Thursday, Feb. 8, 1973, in Memorial Hospital in Carthage. She had been in failing health for several months.
She was born Oct. 1, 1900, near Bonapart, Ia., a daughter of Ed and Anna Mathias Neally. She moved with her parents to Carthage in the early '20s. She married Gaylord Ellefritz Dec. 6, 1926, at Keokuk, Ia. They lived on a farm near Carthage until his death in '62.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Arlo (Phylis) Collingswood of Center Point, Ia.; three sons, Max, Lyle and Don all of Carthage; one sister, Cordelia Neally and one brother, Frank Neally of Carthage; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
