Mrs. Betty Ellefritz, 58, of Burnside, died Thursday, June 11, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
She was born March 26, 1934 in Ray, the daughter of Roy and Anna Taylor Learned. She married Robert "Short" Ellefritz on Nov. 25, 1953 in Hamilton.
She was employed at Methode Electronics Inc. of Carthage. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Penny Sue of Burnside; a son, Rickey Lee of Adrian; a brother, Robert Learned of San Diego, Calif.; six sisters, Ruth Davis of Colchester, Rosalie Shumaker of Ellisville, Marjorie Ellis and Sadie Learned both of Bushnell, Mary McCormick and Anna May Walton both of Macomb; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday June 14 in the Lamporte Funeral Home of Carthage, with the Rev. Charles Ferguson officiating.
Burial was in the McKay Cemetery in Burnside.

BURNSIDE, Ill. -- Mrs. Betty Ellefritz, 58, of Burnside, an employee of Methode Electronics, died at 5 a.m. Thursday (June 11, 1992) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born March 26, 1934, in Ray, Mrs. Ellefritz was a daughter of Roy and Anna Taylor Learned. She was of the Baptist faith and was employed by Methode Electronics Inc. in Carthage.
On Nov. 25, 1953, she married Robert "Short" Ellefritz in Hamilton. He survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Penny Sue of Burnside; a son, Rickey L. of Adrian; a brother, Robert Learned of San Diego; six sisters, Ruth Davis of Colchester, Rosalie Shumaker of Ellisville, Marjorie Ellis and Sadie Learned both of Bushnell, and Mary McCormick and Anna May Walton, both of Macomb; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Durword.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Lamporte Funeral Home in Carthage by the Rev. Charles Ferguson. Burial will be in McKay Cemetery near Burnside.
Visitation will be held 1-8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Carthage Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 5117.
