Held for Mrs. Dan
Dunsworth FridaySarah Kathryn Yetter, daughter of William and Mary Long Yetter was born on a farm near Webster, Ill., on Sept. 14, 1869. Here she attended the public school and grew to young womanhood. Her father was a soldier in the Civil War.
On Sept. 1, 1887, she was united in marriage to Daniel T. Dunsworth. To this union were born ten children, six of whom preceded her in death. She leaves four children, Fred, of Carthage; Harley of Crown Point, Indiana; Gilbert, of Markham, Ill.; and Hortense Helms, of Rochelle, Ill.
They spent their early married life farming in the vicinity of Carthage. In 1911 they moved to Carthage, where they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sept. 1, 1937.
Mr. Dunsworth preceded her in death, Dec. 18, 1938. Since that time she has been making her home with her children.
Besides her four children she is survived by a younger brother, Eugene Yetter of Bowen and five grandchildren, Darlene Dunsworth McGinnis and Marguerite Dunsworth of Basco, Patty and Barbara Helms of Rochelle and Danny Dunsworth of Markham.
She was also preceded in death by her father and mother, a brother and sister, who died in early childhood, her sisters, Mrs. Hortense Dye, Mrs. Susan Boston and Mrs. Rowena Boston, the last passing away only a month ago, and two brothers, David and William Yetter.
Mrs. Dunsworth passed away in Rochelle, Ill., on Jan. 28, 1942, at The Harms Convalescent Home.
Many years ago she confessed her faith in Christ her Savior, and united with the Baptist church in Carthage. Her life was characterized by her personal simple faith and trust in Christ.
Mrs. Dunsworth was dearly beloved by those who knew her and her friends were many. She was a lover of nature and all things beautiful.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dunsworth were held Friday morning, Jan. 30, at 10:00 o'clock in the Ostrich Funeral Home, the Rev. J. R. Hoy officiating. Mrs. E. P. Cutler and Miss Dorothy Frazee sang "In the Garden" and "It is Well With My Soul" accompanied by Miss Jessie Duffie. Interment was in Harmony cemetery. The pall bearers were: Don White, Olaf Dickinson, Ernest Boston, Ewell Dunsworth, George Biery and Merlin Gibson.
