Marjorie M. Dickinson, 68, of Carthage died Jan. 14, 1992, in her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Blanche Bell Boston. She married Galen Dickinson Jr. on Nov. 12, 1940, Hannibal, Mo.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Carthage and a former member of the Rebekka Lodge in Carthage. She had taught school at the East Union School, rural Carthage for a year and had been employed at the Memorial Hospital in Carthage for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Judy) Boyer of Ferris, Mrs. Dewayne (Jo Anne) Allison of Platte City, Mo., Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Craig of Northbrook and Mrs. Michael (Myrna) Simpson of Normal; one son, Matthew of St. Peters, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Maynard of Manchester, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Douglas Vanbrooker.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Lamporte Funeral Home of Carthage with Revs. John Jamison and Francis Guither officiating. Burial was in the Moss Ridge Cemetery at Carthage.
Memorials to the Hancock County Hospice have been established.
