YOUNG MOTHER TAKEN
BY DEATH TUESDAY
AFTERNOON

Mrs. Orion Denton Suffered
Long Illness -- Services
Held Today

Mrs. Orion Denton passed away at her home in the O'Harra Addition Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock following a long period of illness.

Her waning health and strength had given her family much anxiety and she was taken to the St. Joseph's hospital two months ago for an exploratory examination.  After a short stay there she returned home.  The intense pain and distress were followed by complications which skilled medical attention could but temporarily relieve.  Her sufferings were patiently borne and made more bearable by the kind and thoughtful ministry of family and friends.

Sylvia E. Gibson was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Gibson and was born in Burnside, Illinois August 25, 1891.  Here she received her early education.  On April 2, 1915 she was united in marriage to Orion Denton of this city.  Five children blessed this union who with the husband survive: Morrell G., Emily E., Marybeth H., Betty Jean and Ardith M.  She also leaves her parents, two sisters: Mrs. Iva Howd and Mrs. Ida E. Loomis of Warsaw; two brothers, Elmer A., and Jas. F. of Chicago.  One brother, Chas C. preceded her in death in 1910.

Her life was short, but in these few years she had accomplished much.  Taken at a time when it would seem that she should have had many more years of usefulness it is difficult to understand.  We cannot think that her work was finished here, but we bow in humble submission to A Higher power.

Services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Bethel church, her pastor, Rev. George Burns officiating.  Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery, where the O. E. S. will have charge of the services.
