HAMILTON, Ill. -- Services for Orion K. Denton, 80, of Hamilton, who died Friday (April 28, 1972) at noon in St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Lamporte Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert M. Means and the Rev. Martin B. Olsen will officiate.
Mr. Denton was born in Hamilton, Feb. 9, 1892, a son of Henry and Mary Young Denton. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Black Hawk Lodge No. 238 AF & AM and the Quincy Consistory. He was a retired service man for International Harvester dealers in Hamilton and Carthage. He married Sylvia Gibson in 1913 in Burnside. She died in 1928. He married Laura Anderson April 21, 1934 in Warsaw.
Surviving are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Emily Haller, Mrs. Marybeth Cochran, Mrs. Betty David and Mrs. Ardath Wepner, all of Hamilton; a son, Morrell of Peoria; a brother, Herschel of Clearwater, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
