J. Henry DeHaven

Funeral services for J. Henry DeHaven, 97, rural Burnside, were held at 10:30 a.m. today in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Mary Boyer officiating.  Burial was in McKay Cemetery near Burnside.

Mr. DeHaven died Sunday afternoon, June 5, 1977, in Keokuk Area East Hospital.

He was born Nov. 11, 1879, near Fountain Green, a son of William and Olive Conkey DeHaven.  He married Ella Salisbury Feb. 1, 1910, in Carthage.  She died in 1952.  He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are two sons, Newell of Pontoosuc and Robert of Blandinsville; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie McConnell of Burnside and Mrs. Albert (Maxine) Beckwith of Peoria; seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three foster great grandchildren.
