DAY - GITTINGS

MARRIED -- In Burlington, Iowa, Wednesday evening, June 5, 1912, at 8 o'clock Miss MARY GITTINGS, of LaHarpe, and CHARLES DAY, of Fountain Green, Rev. Eugene Allen officiating.

These young people quietly slipped away and were married, and went at once to the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Day's near Fountain Green, and it was several days before friends learned of the wedding.  They were accompanied to the home of the minister by Clarence Devine, who witnessed the wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Day are graduates of the LaHarpe High School, class of 1911, and since graduating Mrs. Day taught school near Terre Haute for a term and the past winter made her home with friends in Terre Haute.  She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Gittings.  They are worthy young people and we join in wishing them much joy.
