Column 2JOHN W. DAY DIES
NEAR MAJORVILLE MONDAYJohn William Day of Majorville neighborhood, died at 1:30 o'clock Monday morning, Jan. 13, at the St. Francis hospital in Macomb, after a month's illness of uremia.
Funeral services will be held at the Majorville church Wednesday afternoon at 1:30. Burial will be in Majorville cemetery.
Mr. Day was born March 24, 1858, in Fountain Green, a son of James and Margaret Callahan Day. He was married to Ella F. Yetter, who died Nov. 22, 1934.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Ruby Hobart, Carthage; Lawrence Y. Day, Colchester; Charles Day, Arnold, Kans., and James Day, Colchester. A daughter, Mable Day Campbell, died in 1939. Surviving also are nine grandchildren.
