Mrs. Verda Davis
Dies This Morning
In Phoenix, Ariz.

Mrs. Verda Johanna Davis died in Phoenix, Ariz., today at 8:40 a. m. after a lingering illness of ten years.  She had been seriously ill for the past year.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Malloy and was born in Keokuk, August 23, 1916.  She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married in Cedar Rapids, Oct. 1, 1934, and who passed away eight months ago.

Surviving are two children, Sally Jean and Susan Jean, her father, Everett Malloy of Cedar Rapids, her mother, Mrs. Bessie Malloy of Keokuk, five sisters, Mrs. Ernest Beaird, Mrs. Deloris Hatfield, Mrs. Orville Martin, Mrs. Carl Hatfield, Miss Norma Malloy, all of Keokuk, and three brothers, Elmer and John of Keokuk and Thomas of Phoenix.

The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Dies in Phoenix

It was Mrs. Verda Johanna Dains, not Davis, former Keokuk resident, whose death occurred in Phoenix, Ariz., Wednesday morning.

The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Dains Body will
Arrive Tomorrow

The body of Mrs. Verda Dains will arrive tomorrow afternoon from Phoenix, Ariz., for the funeral service which will be held in DeJong's Funeral Home at 2 p. m.

Burial will be in the family lot in Charleston cemetery.
