DALLAS CITY, Ill. -- Marion F. Cox, 81, of Moline, formerly of Dallas City, a retired employee of Dohrn Transfer Co. in Rock Island, died Wednesday (April 10, 1991) in the United Medical Center in Moline.
Born Oct. 8, 1909, in Biggsville, Mr. Cox was a son of Cloyd and Dorabell Duncan Cox. He retired in 1971.
On Dec. 10, 1937, he married Marie Miller in Burlington, Iowa. She survives in Port Byron.
Survivors also include six sons, Frank and Robert Cox, both of Rosemont, Minn., Howard of Casper, Wyo., James of Port Byron, George of St. Paul, Minn., and Mikell of Davenport, Iowa; a sister, Grace Cox of Terre Haute; a brother, Charles Cox of Terre Haute; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Gibson Funeral Home in Port Byron. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in the Harris Cemetery in Dallas City.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
