Foster A. Cox, 82, LaHarpe, died June 30, in Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.
He was born Nov. 3, 1901, at Indian Valley, Va., to Homer and Laura Phillips Cox. He married Lala Hylton April 23, 1921, at Floyd, Va.
He was a retired farmer, having lived in the Blandinsville and LaHarpe areas since 1924.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Charles, Galesburg; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, the Rev. Eric Bruster officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Macomb.
A memorial to the LaHarpe United Methodist Church has been established.
