In LaHarpe for
Former ResidentFuneral services for Mrs. Lucy Collins Huff, 80, former LaHarpe resident, were held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. in the Radden funeral home in LaHarpe, the Rev. A. G. Vail officiating. Burial was in LaHarpe cemetery.
Mrs. Huff died Sunday afternoon in the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Bernice Wall, in Peoria. She had been ill two months.
Born in Hancock county, Nov. 27, 1875, she was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Harriet Dunham Carnes. She was first married Dec. 17, 1891 to Thomas L. Collins who preceded her in death. On July 5, 1898, she married Henry Huff, who died in 1950.
She was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are two children, Archie Collins of LaHarpe and Mrs. Virgil Fisher of Peoria; a sister, Mrs. Mintie Spiker of LaHarpe; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, two brothers, four sisters, a grandson and two great-great-grandsons preceded her in death.
