JOSEPHINE COLLINS

Mrs. Josephine R. Collins, 69, of LaHarpe, died at 8:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 1982, in LaHarpe Hospital.

Mrs. Collins was born in LaHarpe, May 31, 1912, a daughter of Harry and Julia Tilton Lorton.  She married Elmer Collins in May, 1938, in Macomb.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Terry of Blandinsville and Billy of LaHarpe; a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Margo) Gray of Chillicothe; three sisters, Miss Velma Lorton and Mrs. Wanda Mills, both of LaHarpe, and Mrs. Charles (Gertrude) Brown of Canton; and nine grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a sister.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Norman Howard.  Burial was in LaHarpe Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
