ELMER COLLINS

Elmer "Bill" Collins, 77, of LaHarpe, died Sunday in the LaHarpe Extended Care Facility.

Mr. Collins was born in LaHarpe, July 10, 1905, a son of Frank and Daisy Brockway Collins.  He married Josephine Lorton in May, 1938, in Macomb.  She died Jan. 22, 1982.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Margo) Gray of Chillicothe; two sons, Terry of Blandinsville and Billy of LaHarpe; seven brothers, Harry of Abingdon, Lester of Basco, Harvey of Colchester, Fred of Little York, Franklin and Owen, both of LaHarpe and Earl of Dallas City; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Jones of LaHarpe and Mrs. Bud (Alta) Ballard of Little York; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday in the Banks and Beals Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Norman Howard.  Burial was in LaHarpe Cemetery.
