August 4, 1960Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Pearl Collins, 80, of LaHarpe were held Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. in the LaHarpe Christian church, the Rev. Leo Gossett officiating. Burial was in the LaHarpe cemetery.
Mrs. Collins died Saturday morning in St. Francis hospital in Macomb, where she had been a patient for five weeks.
Born Feb. 28, 1880 near LaHarpe, she was a daughter of Samuel and Arrilla Mustain Brockway. She was married to Francis M. Collins July 2, 1899 in LaHarpe. He died Sept. 21, 1934.
Surviving are nine sons, Howard of Niota, Elmer, Franklin and Owen of LaHarpe, Harry of Abingdon, Harvey of Colchester, Lester of Basco, Fred of Monmouth and Earl of Dallas City; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Jones of Burnside and Mrs. Alta Ballard of Seaton; 30 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Juna Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.
A daughter, Mrs. Grace Owsley and three brothers preceded her in death.
