Column 8Mrs. Belle Clendary aged 16 years, daughter of D. E. Gillenwater, died Saturday night last. A very sad death. It has cast a deep gloom over our vicinity. The peculiar features of this young lady's death that renders it painful are purely of a local character. Poor Belle! Peace to her memory. May the bereaved friends, numerous in number, find consolation in the brightness of the christian religion.
The infant son of C. A. Belknap, died Saturday morning and was buried yesterday at Webster.
We are having a fearful scourge of typhoid fever, falling with great weight upon the household of our old friend Jesse Riggons -- three of his own family at home -- one married daughter and grandson; daughter-in-law, and the grand daughter, whose death is noted above. All are thought to be convalescent except one daughter.
