Terri J. Bryant, 52, of Dallas City, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the home of her sister, Ruth Mitchell of Dallas City.
She was born Feb. 8, 1954, in LaHarpe, a daughter of Merlin L. "Pete" and Barbara Jolley Rettig. On June 6, 1972, she married Kenny Bryant. They later divorced.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbi (Aaron) Mathisen of Seattle, Wash.; one son, Jeremy (Louanna) Bryant of Whitesboro, Texas; her mother, Barbara Retting of Dallas City; four grandchildren, Cody, Jacob, Devin, and Meredith; two sisters, Bobbi (Mike) Leggett and Ruth (George) Mitchell, both of Dallas City; and two brothers, Brad (Pam) Rettig of Dallas City and Jamie (Susan) Rettig of Donnellson, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, one niece, and one nephew.
She was a graduate of Hamilton High School. She had worked at Elm View Care Center in Burlington, Iowa, and currently was employed in surgery scheduling at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa. She enjoyed going to the casino boat, and playing bingo.
Friends may call after 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in Dallas City. Family will meet with friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Bettyanna Bremer will conduct the service. Burial will be at a later date in Crane Cemetery, near Lomax.
A memorial fund has been established, and will be designated later.
