Paul Everet Bryant, 80, of Memphis, Mo., died November 19, 1995, at Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville, Mo.

He was born in Scotland County, Mo., January 22, 1915, the son of Charles E. and Verna Self Bryant.

He graduated from Memphis High School, Class of 1936.  He was a member of Scotland County I.O.O.F. Lodge #104 and a lifelong member of Dover Baptist Church.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from January 1943 to April 1946.  He was employed at Mid-States Engineering & Mfg., Milton, Ia., as a machinist.  He retired in 1977.

He was married to Ruth A. Davis Harvey on September 3, 1950, at Memphis, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of Memphis, Mo.; five children, Bill Harvey and his wife, Carol, of New Berlin, Wisc., Deanna Dunn and husband, Kent, of Memphis, Mo., Mary Lou Harper and husband, Richard, of Memphis, Mo., Judy Gardner and husband, Ron, of Worthington, Ohio, and Dennis Bryant of Tampa, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Teri Anderson, Iowa City, Ia., Kristine Leveille, Orlando, Fla., Stacie Juhl, Bloomfield, Ia., Kris Dunn Hoover, Ala., Dana Harper, Columbia, Mo., Dawn Triplett, Rutledge, Mo., Sara, Gretchen, and Alan Gardner, Worthington, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Speer, of Memphis, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Dick Davis and wife, Mary, of Keokuk, Ia.; nieces, nephews; and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 1995, 1:30 p.m., in First Baptist Church, Memphis, Mo., with Rev. Robert Garringer officiating.  Burial will be in Lawn Ridge Cemetery, northeast Scotland County.  Open visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 1995, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Organist will be Joe Fulk.  Casket bearers will be Phil Duley, Leon Buford, Lynn Triplett, Kenny Thrasher, Mike Powell, and Tom Owings.  Memorials may be made to the Lawn Ridge Cemetery or the donor's choice.  Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
