WAYLAND, Mo. -- Ethel Mae Bryant, 92, of Wayland, Mo., died at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at her home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk.

Ethel "Mae" Bryant, 92, of Wayland, Missouri, died at 9:05 a.m., Sunday, November 2, 1997, at her home.
She was born February 25, 1905, in Alexandria, Missouri, the daughter of John and Emma Rock Seward.
She married Jesse D. Bryant on February 24, 1923, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1964.
She had been a resident of Alexandria all her life, moving to Wayland in 1993.
She is survived by two sons: Wallace Eugene Bryant, Sr., and his wife, Madeline, of Alexandria, Missouri; and Rodney Bryant of Keokuk, Iowa; one sister, Mildred Moore of Muscatine, Iowa; one brother, Floyd Seward of Nauvoo, Illinois; two grandsons: Wallace Eugene Bryant, Jr., of Wayland, Missouri, with who Mrs. Bryant made her home; and Ronnie Bryant, of Keokuk; three granddaughters: Mary Egley and her husband, Kenneth, of Kahoka, Missouri; Connie Cannon of La Grange, Missouri; and Lynn Rash Turley of Keokuk; four great-grandchildren and five great - great - grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald; one brother, Earl; and a sister, Genevieve.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, November 4, 1997, at Frazee Cemetery with Deacon William Cosgrove officiating.
DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
