Funeral services for Mrs. Nola Brown, 83, Carthage, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fecht Funeral Home in Carthage with the Rev. D. E. Skiles officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Sunday night, July 21, 1974, in Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
She was born Nov. 4, 1890, in Joetta, a daughter of Andrew Jackson and Emily Boyd Ruddell. She married Reuben Brown Nov. 27, 1911, in Keokuk, Ia. He died in 1961. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Delena Lemley of Carthage, Mrs. Earl (Sarah Jane) Davis of Altamont, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Dulaney of Hamilton, Mrs. Irma Locker of Colfax and Mrs. Archie (Freda) Montgomery of Carthage; three sons, Ira Eugene of Basco, Milerd Lesley of Carthage and Reuben Edward of Carthage; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Ottens of Fort Morgan, Colo., Mrs. Orpha Harbert of Hemet, Calif., and Mrs. Eunice Dickenson of Burlington, Colo.; four brothers, Ogle Ruddell of Oklahoma, Lawrence Ruddell of Bulkhead City, Ariz., Merrit and Meredith of Burlington, Colo.; 25 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant son and three sisters.
