Died, at her home in Hancock township, known as the Samuel Brown homestead, on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, Mrs. Annie Brown, aged 80 years. Mrs. Brown was born in Ohio, and removed to McDonough county with her parents when quite a child. She was married there to Samuel Brown, who died about seven years ago. After this marriage the couple moved to Hancock county. Mrs. Brown was a daughter of James Dye, who was murdered in bed in 1853, at his home in McDonough. She was the mother of a large family, of which only one child survives, a son now residing in Texas. She made her home with a grandson. The funeral occurred from the Oak Grove church, Tuesday, at 2 o'clock p. m.
note: Anna Brown is probably buried in the Oak Grove cemetery in Hancock Township.
