Sarah Ellen Bray
          Dies in Plymouth

Sarah Ellen Bray, daughter of William and Martha Foster Bray was born on a farm near Burnside, Sept. 25, 1857 and passed away July 3, 1949, at the Sapp nursing Home in Plymouth at the age of 91 years and 10 months.  She was one of twelve children, of whom she was the last except a brother, William L. of Syracuse, N. Y.  She spent most of her life on the farm, until she moved to Carthage about 10 years ago.

Mrs. Bray received her education at Abingdon College.  She was a member of the Burnside Christian Church.  She leaves to mourn her passing a brother, William L. Bray of Syracuse, N. Y., and several nieces and nephews; also a sister-in-law Mrs. Ida S. Bray of Carthage.

The funeral was held at the Elms, Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. H. C. Reichel officiating.  Mrs. Lowell Smith and Mrs. Leland Thompson had charge of the music.  Pall bearers were Earl Bell, W. S. Walton, Fred Shirey and C. E. Hubbard.  Interment was in McKay Cemetery.
