Dies at LaHarpeFuneral services for Lynn George Brandon, 67, who died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 3, in the George Johnson barber shop in LaHarpe, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 in the Radden funeral home, conducted by the Rev. H. W. Fisher, pastor of the LaHarpe Methodist church. Burial was in McConnell cemetery, at Fountain Green.
Mr. Brandon had been troubled by a weak heart for a number of years. He was born July 24, 1883, in the Fountain Green neighborhood, a son of George M. and Laura Ann Geddes Brandon. He was a farmer until 1935 and for a time he worked at Illinois Soldiers and Sailors Home, in Quincy.
June 26, 1914, Mr. Brandon was married to Minnie Greenig, of LaHarpe. The family moved here from the Macomb vicinity about 10 years ago. Mr. Brandon was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Surviving are the widow, two sons, George Brandon, of Macomb, and Baxter Brandon, of Springfield, four daughters, Mrs. Wayne McConnell, of Blandinsville, Mrs. Clyde Dean and Mrs. Harold Carlson, both of Macomb, and Mrs. Bessie Gillett, of LaHarpe.
