dies Friday;
funeral Mon.Virgil Cleo Boston of 325 South Twelfth died at 10:02 p. m. Friday in St. Joseph hospital where he had been a patient six days.
Born February 6, 1901 in Carthage he was the son of Charlie T. and Martha A. Shipman Boston. He had lived in Keokuk 40 years and was employed in the service department at Sheller Manufacturing Corp. for 16 years.
On February 23, 1922 he married Lillie A. Hatfield in Kahoka. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, his father of Keokuk, three brothers, the Rev. Leroy of Keokuk, the Rev. Hollis of Lorain, Ohio, and Ivan T. of Keokuk, and seven sisters, Mrs. Leona Scott of Burlington, Mrs. Mabel Mitten of Medill, Mo., Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Bloomfield, Mrs. Geraldine Clark of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Leota Kendeziorek of Bradley, Ill., Mrs. Clara Phillips of Fulton, Mo., and Mrs. Hazel Kelly of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Lawrence.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p. m. in DeJong's Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
